About Warri North LGA
A riverine local government built on heritage, energy, and opportunity
Warri North Local Government Area was carved out of the former Warri Local Government Area in 1991 with its administrative headquarters in Koko. The LGA spans riverine, coastal, and inland communities along the Benin River and Atlantic frontage of Delta State, with deep Itsekiri heritage and shared boundaries with Warri South West and Ethiope West.

Local Government Structure
Four arms working together
Executive Arm
Chairman, Vice Chairman, Supervisory Councillors and Special Advisers driving policy and execution.
Legislative Arm
Elected Councillors representing each of the 20 wards and providing oversight on policies and budgets.

Secretary to the LGA, Heads of Department, professional staff, and ward officers delivering daily services.
